Guest Designing for Scrap Africa!

I was absolutely thrilled to bits to be asked to create something for the fabulous Scrap Africa blog and even more delighted when the very lovely Denise said she still wanted me even though I no longer wore an Ed hat ;)

So the theme was to create a layout about your typical Christmas...hmmm...I don't scrap Christmas!! I know it's weird but I never really like the photos; I think it's because they are always inside and everyone always looks pale and ill!!! LOL

However, what does set me off into a festive spirit is getting my bake on!!

Having 'borrowed' a photo from Google I decided to stay away from the traditional Christmas colours and use a winter palette from design seeds that was warm and comforting :)

And here it is:

I fiddled about with some texture paste and some new glassy gel from Maimeri and a Heidi Swapp stencil.

I had to throw a little bit of aqua in!! PLUS I am making an effort to use up some of the gazillion flair badges I own; your fault Mrs H!
So that is as close to a Christmas layout you are likely to get from me!! Although the kids are coming for their photo shoot this weekend so you never know ;)

A huge thank you to Scrap Africa for the marvelous honour of being their Guest Designer and a really big thank you to you for popping in today.

Ali x
